Over the past few years, I have collected and stored packaging from online and storefront purchases. Storage of this packaging quickly became overwhelming, I couldn’t store packaging from everyday essentials, such as groceries. There was so much wastage even though we bring our own re-usable shopping bags to supermarkets and local markets. I had to curate the waste that I attempted to store for this project.
These still lives are paired back set ups of various selections of from my waste archives. This is my attempt to live with the consequences of consumption by re-appropriating the byproduct for its aesthetic value. still-life.
